Overview

Different apps use different features. Some apps may work fully on device, while others may request permission for HealthKit, location, files, media, camera, microphone, notifications, or other system services only when those features are needed.

The App Store privacy label for each app should be reviewed separately because it describes the data practices of that specific app.

Data handled by the apps

Depending on the app and the features you choose to use, an app may handle information such as app settings, saved entries, health or fitness values, location-based map context, files or media you select, calculation history, audio-related content, purchase status, crash diagnostics, and support messages.

Data is used to provide app features, keep the app working, improve reliability, respond to support requests, and maintain a safe user experience.

Health and fitness data

Apps that use Apple Health or HealthKit request access through Apple permission prompts. You control which categories are shared and can change those permissions in iOS Settings or the Health app.

Health and fitness data is used only for user-facing app features such as summaries, trends, logs, widgets, watch features, or related health utility flows. Health data is not sold to advertisers or data brokers.

Location, maps, camera, microphone, files, and media

Some apps may request optional access to location, maps, camera, microphone, files, photos, audio, or media when a feature requires it. These permissions are controlled by the user through system prompts and device settings.

When a file, photo, audio item, or other media item is selected by the user, it is used for the feature the user requested, such as playback, import, analysis, display, export, or local organization.

Purchases and subscriptions

Apps that offer paid downloads, in-app purchases, or subscriptions may use Apple StoreKit and App Store systems to process purchases, restore access, and verify product entitlement status. Payment processing is handled by Apple.

Diagnostics and analytics

Apps may receive crash reports, performance diagnostics, or App Store analytics provided by Apple or the operating system. This information is used to understand bugs, improve reliability, and maintain app quality.

Apps are not designed to sell personal information. Apps are not designed to use personal app data for third-party advertising tracking.

Support communication

When you contact support, your email address and the information you choose to include may be used to respond to your request. Support messages may include device model, operating system version, app version, screenshots, or a description of the issue if you choose to provide them.

Data storage and deletion

Many app features store data locally on your device. Some app data may also be stored in Apple-provided services, such as iCloud or App Store systems, when the app or the operating system supports that behavior.

You can delete local app data by using in-app controls where available, changing system permissions, deleting relevant Apple Health entries, or removing the app from your device. You can contact support for privacy questions or deletion requests related to support communication.

Children

The apps are not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children. If a parent or guardian believes a child provided personal information through support communication, contact support so the information can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when apps, features, data practices, platform requirements, or legal requirements change. The updated date on this page shows the latest revision.
